Creighton Guidebook Icons
I designed this icon set for Creighton’s main campus guide in the Guidebook app. Guidebook is a company that partners with annual conferences, schools, and community organizations to create guides – small apps that provide users with access to critical information, maps, news, and social media. Creighton partnered with Guidebook to create a campus guide that would act as the primary Creighton app for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. When I left Creighton, the main guide had been downloaded over 3,000 times, so these icons have a pretty wide audience.
In addition to my work designing the icons, I was also responsible for coordinating the development and release of the guide. I helped determine the content and layout of the guide and actually built a great deal of it using Guidebook’s online editor. I was the liaison between Guidebook and all of the campus departments included in the app (Athletics, Admissions, Campus Recreation, etc.). I also designed and wrote copy for marketing materials that were distributed across campus when the guide was published. Additionally, I made several presentations on campus about Guidebook and trained several people on how to build and edit their own event guides.
If you’re interested, you can download Guidebook here. Once you’ve downloaded it, search for Creighton University and download the main campus guide.
